We have had another great week with Avery! She has been able to meet more family and friends and everyone agrees that she is adorable. She continues to be a good baby and we are enjoying our time off work and school. She is starting to hold up her head - we are excited for improved head control. She continues to gain weight and eat like a champ. She lets her mom sleep well at night with two feeds at night and some good sleeping in between.

We have had some firsts in the Lupov household this week. I have the feeling each day will bring a first for the weeks to come. It is fun to see each day what little Avery has in store for us. Yesterday Ivan gave Avery her first bottle. We were a little nervous because we didn't know if she would like it - let me just say our daughter likes to eat. She latched on to the bottle, took it all and then wanted more food from mom. Tonight we are adjusting her bedtime for the first time. She was very fussy from 8-10pm so we have moved her up and trying to put her to sleep earlier. We will have to let you know how that goes.
Also tonight we had a first while putting her to sleep. Ivan was burping her and she spit up a large amount of milk that went not only all over his shoulder but over his shoulder and onto the floor - she got some distance.
Can't believe she is already almost three weeks old. It seems like each day she is changing. Here are some more pictures!

We are having a great time getting to know our little girl. She is awesome! She is a good eater (gained 16 oz in 9 days) and sleeper (slept five and half hours last night). We are starting to learn more about her personality and she is starting to having more unique little traits. Ivan and I are in love for sure! We laugh because it is hard to get anything done around the house because we just want to cuddle with her or watch her. Here are some new pictures for you.
It has been a busy week for little Avery as we have had many visitors coming to meet her for the first time. She was able to meet her Aunt Kim, Uncle Brandon, cousin Ollie, cousin Eve, Aunt Kenda, Uncle Tom, and her friends Melissa, Beckett, and Ian. I am sure in the weeks to come there will be more people lining up to kiss our adorable daughter. She continues to be a great baby, and we are enjoying her. Here are some pictures of her and her new friends.
Avery has made it through her first week of life, or maybe I should say Ivan and I have made it through Avery's first week of life. We have had some ups and downs - but mostly a positive week. The recovery from labor and delivery was a little more intense than I expected but the last two days I have noticed a lot of improvement. Ivan came down with what we think was food poisoning earlier this week which made for a rough night. We have been so thankful that my mom is on vacation this week and has been able to be at our house helping with whatever she can and making us dinner every night so far. Avery is a great baby. She has a sweet temperament, she is a great sleeper, and a great eater. She had her first doctor's appointment and her weight was up to 9lbs 8oz. She is already making her parents proud. Last night she slept for 4 hours straight! My mom and I were having fun taking her picture the other day, trying to get her to pose for us. I thought I would share some more pictures with you.
We are happy to announce the arrival of our little girl Avery Elizabeth Lupov. She was born on June 13th at 9:15 pm. She weighed 9 lbs 2 oz and was 21 inches long. She is a healthy, adorable little girl. Labor and delivery were hard but went well. We were able to avoid using the IV medication for induction and labor on our own. I could tell you more...but I know you just want to see pictures. So here are lots of adorable pictures of Avery.
Avery has decided to test out her parent's patience before she has even arrived in this world. We are now 5 days past her "due date" and still waiting for her arrival. The last week has been a bit more uncomfortable and I have to admit I am pretty ready for pregnancy to be over. Most of all I am just ready to meet our little girl. We have been trying to keep ourselves busy while we await her arrival. We decided to do a little house hunting and ended up finding a great single family home here in Bloomington over the weekend. We placed an offer and it was accepted. So we will be moving into a new home in August some time. We have a very exciting summer ahead of us with a new home and a new baby. We are excited to get started on a new adventure. For now we are just waiting!
