Gearing Up for Crazy!

Sorry it has been awhile since my last post. Things here at the Lupov house have actually been pretty quiet and chill. Ivan started back to school and I am still at home with Avery. She continues to be an amazing baby. She is sleeping great at night and loves her long morning nap. She is starting to smile in response to you, which is so much fun. She is also making more cooing noises and just seems to be getting more of a personality. Ivan and I are in love for sure.

The Lupov family is gearing up for the next two week which are going to be crazy. We have two great weddings in the next two weekends. I am the Matron of Honor in Katherine's wedding this coming weekend and have the honor to stand in Talia's wedding in Wisconsin the next weekend. In between the two wedding I go back to work and the Sunday after Talia's wedding Ivan's mom arrives. The week after Talia's wedding Ivan has his first set of tests. CRAZY! We have been blessed to have so much free time at home with Avery.

Here are some new pictures for your enjoyment.

2 month visit...6 months old?

Our little lady had her two month visit this week - and she is officially the size of the average 6 month old! She is already trying to get ahead of the game. She was in the 100th percentile for weight (15lbs), 99th percentile for height (24.5 inches), and 90th percentile for her head circumference.  We received a clean bills of health and development from Dr. Moore. She did have to get her first vaccinations - 5 vaccinations, 3 total shots. She did great! I think it was harder on mommy than it was on her. She was fussy that night and I think her legs were a bit sore the next day but she bounced back to her normal AWESOME baby self pretty quickly.

Things have changed recently here in the Lupov household. Ivan has started his second year of medical school. We were truly blessed to have him be off for the first 8 weeks of Avery's life. I think he was a bit sad to leave her on Monday, he hadn't been away from her for longer than a few hours. We are both excited about his second year of medical school and all the great things he is going to learn. Avery has already contributed to his learning experience. This week in his medicine class they were covering pediatrics and they needed kids to volunteer for the students to exam. So Avery and I went in and the students were able to do a basic 2 month exam on her. I think she actually enjoyed all the attention and knows that she is helping to expand medical knowledge - already making her parents proud!!

Here are some fun pictures for you!!

Proud to be an American

Over the past 6 months Ivan has been going through the process of becoming an American citizen. It was made final this week as he took the oath in Indianapolis. My mom, Avery, Brandon, Kim, and myself were all there to see the ceremony. We are proud to be an ALL American family!

New Home

Sorry for the delay in posting. We just moved into our new house and we did not have internet for several days. We are up and running again so I can share some adorable pictures of Avery.

Yes, Ivan and I are a bit crazy and decided to buy a home and move before he starts school. We had some great help over the weekend and are pretty much moved in now. We love the neighborhood and we are within biking distance for Ivan to school. This place already feels like home!

Avery is doing great. She is starting to talk (cooing) more and does seem to track a little more and respond. We are excited to see more changes. She continues to be a wonderful baby. Sleeping and eating great!

Avery's favorite part of our new home are the ceiling fans. Ivan and I have both decided that Avery likes the fans more than us. She can sit and stare at the fan and keep herself quite entertained.
