Getting Bigger and Getting Ready

Over the past 2-3 weeks Ivan and I have both noticed a significant change in my belly. Baby girl is growing and trying to make herself some room. Most of my regular clothes no longer fit and I have moved into the world of maternity wear. I have to admit they are darn comfortable.

Baby girl is moving more. Ivan was able to feel her kick for the first time this week. She is already teasing her dad because whenever he puts his hand on my belly she stops moving. This of course drive Ivan crazy.

Growing Belly

We are starting to get the nursery together. Over Christmas Ivan and I made an Ikea trip and bought some gender neutral furniture. Now that we know it is a girl I am starting to add in some color. Below is a picture of the bedding and a good picture of the furniture. We have ordered some wall decals online and are hoping to make a curtain for the window (or hoping to recruit my sister-in-law to help make it).

A better look at the whole room.

More pictures to come as the belly grow and the nursery comes together.

Baby Girl Lupov

Welcome to our new family blog. The purpose of this blog is to keep you all up to date on the Lupov family. We figured when it was just the two of us you probably didn't care about what we were doing or wanted pictures of either of us. But now that we have a little one on the way I suspect you will all be asking for pictures and updates. So we are going to do our best to share with you as she grows up!

Meet Baby Girl Lupov

We found on this week that we are having a baby girl. She is due to arrive June 5th! The ultrasound showed a healthy, very active little girl. She moved around so much that they couldn't get all the pictures they needed. She is in the 60th percentile for size, has four chambers in her little heart, and the heart beat was 148 bpm. Ivan and I also enjoyed seeing the stomach, kidneys, brain, skull, and ventricles. I think the ultrasound tech thought we were a bit on the strange side.

She kept opening and closing her mouth for us.
It has been fun over the past several weeks to start feeling her move. She likes to be active as I am trying to fall asleep at night. It feels like someone is poking me from the inside :) Seeing how much she moved during the ultrasound I think we have an active little girl on our hands.

Here are some pictures for you to enjoy!

Cute little foot.
We called this the touchdown pose..with her two arms raised up.
